Tracklist: https://wkdu.org/playlist/69866 PetaL is the host and resident freak of Freak Flag, a weekly radio show broadcasting on the airwaves of WKDU Philadelphia 91.7FM since January 2024. They blend tracks across an ever-growing variety of sounds that speak to the soul including but not limited to: house, techno, disco, breaks, bass, and R&B. From 2011, PetaL has been an active member of WKDU, volunteering their time working behind the scenes as a technical engineer and as a DJ curating a selection of sounds oft unheard. Inspired by WKDU’s long history of being a champion of the local scene, Freak Flag was created with community in mind. The program features weekly guest DJs throughout the Philadelphia region and often highlights those who are gender-expansive, queer, and BIPOC. It is intentional about creating a space for artists to collaborate within and beyond the world of electronic music, and it encourages growth through exploration and experimentation.
