With the support of her husband and family, she returned to Tidewater in 2022 — and in 2025, while working in Ghana, she received an unexpected email that would change her career: she had been promoted to Master.In July 2025, Captain Rima took command of her first vessel, Pacific Gull, in Walvis Bay, Namibia. Today, she leads a diverse, multinational crew with humility, professionalism, and a strong commitment to equality, safety, and respect onboard.As a leader, Captain Rima is clear about her priorities: zero tolerance for bullying or harassment, open communication with her crew, and leading without privilege.
