It is Thursday and The Rickey Smiley Morning Show Podcast is going to get you ready for the weekend. Thirty-six people are confirmed dead after a wildfire spread across the Hawaiian island of Maui. The Hawaiian National Guard has been deployed and people are now in shelters. Former NFL wide receiver, Henry Ruggs, has been sentenced to 3-10 years for his DUI that caused the death of twenty-three year old Tina Tintor. More dancers and workers for Lizzo have come forward about the unfair treatment they have received from the performer while working for her. Since it is Rickey Smiley’s birthday people shouted Rickey out and there is a special edition of News You Absolutely Can’t Use with Special K. Rickey gave a message on his birthday on Rickey Unfiltered. He said this is a special birthday and he thanks God for his grace and mercy. Raven Symoné spoke about her cosmetic surgery that she had before she was 18 at the suggestion of her father. She had liposuction and a breast reduction to stop people from teasing her about her weight and her breast size. She says that she regrets doing that. Tory Lanez has been sentenced to ten years in prison for the crimes he committed when he shot Megan Thee Stallion. They asked a question on the show that if the crime fit the punishment.
