GITM 67: The Fall Of Shiganshina Arc (Attack On Titan Analysis & Review)

from Get In The Mecha

Across the year, we have looked closely at each arc in the Attack On Titan anime (on the most part). But how exactly did Attack On Titan begin? After thinking about this question, I thought it would only be right to look at the first arc of the anime, The Fall Of Shiganshina. This arc contains the episodes which work as the foundation for this monumental narrative concerning oppression, freedom and history. In this episode, I talk about the themes of fear & confidence, the notion of 'society-building', how we are introduced to the 'AOT aesthetic' and more. On the side waffle on about my experience with Space Patrol Luluco. Disclaimer: This episode was not intended to match the Spooktober theme (but it is actually very fitting). Happy Halloween!
