Internationally recognized for his skill and expertise, Smith has captured more than 650 cougars, collaring over 225 of them for research in the Western United States and South America. He has worked Jaguar captures in Brazil and the first Snow Leopard capture and collaring in Afganistan. Additionally, he has traveled to Africa, India, Russia and Australia on various wildlife-related projects.
