His professional associations include Texas Medical Association, American Society of Anesthesiologists, Bexar County Medical Society, and Texas Society of Anesthesiologists. Joe Robinson's date of Federal Recognition is 1 July 1989.  Deputy Commanding General- Operations, at the 3D Medical Command, Deployment Support. Commander 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support) He is a 2011 graduate of the U.S. Army War College and in 2016 completed Advanced Joint Professional Military Education at the National Defense University.
