GREATNESS THROUGH SERVICE

Devotional Message: Scripture: “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” – Matthew 20:26 (NIV) Jesus redefines greatness. In a culture where recognition, power, and status often define success, He teaches that true greatness is found in serving others. The path upward in the Kingdom of God begins by kneeling low—in humility, compassion, and love. Jesus, though Lord of all, washed His disciples’ feet. He fed the hungry, touched the untouchable, and ultimately gave His life as the greatest act of service. His example teaches us that to serve is not to be lesser—it is to be more like Him. Today, ask yourself: Am I striving for recognition, or am I seeking opportunities to serve? Do I use my gifts to elevate myself, or to lift others? Would Jesus be pleased with how I treat the "least" among us? Even small acts of kindness—done in love—echo in eternity. Prayer: Almighty Father, help me let go of selfish ambition and embrace the heart of a servant. Teach me to see others as You see them, and to serve not out of obligation, but out of love. Make me more like You each day. Amen.
