This has been a LONG year! As daylight saving time was ending a couple of weeks ago, I saw someone suggest that we set our clocks forward—all the way ahead to 2021! Well, I have some good news for you. There is a centuries old tradition in the Christian church that the new year starts on the 1st Sunday in Advent, which is TODAY! So WOOHOO! Happy New Year, everyone! Today we are invited to start the new year on the right foot. It starts with turning to God to restore us, get us back on track, to shine upon us, and light the way. We’ll start with two readings from the Bible, Psalm 80 and Mark 13. I’ll leave you with at least three takeaways. And I’ll even throw in a story about the time Brenda and I committed voter fraud back in 1996. First, let’s pray…

Restore us, Yahweh, God of the Angel Armies; shine your face upon us that we may be saved. Amen.

Works for Me Bloomberg Hosts Francesca Levy and Rebecca Greenfield navigate the productivity industry by way of their own experiences. In each episode, one of the two becomes a human guinea pig as she tries to solve a specific work-related problem. Using the advice of so-called productivity experts, the duo tackles obstacles like ineffective to-do lists, overflowing inboxes and unruly meetings. Self-improvement is, by some estimates, a $10 billion sector, but can any of the productivity hacks these experts preach actually improve Francesca and Rebecca's work lives? Follow along with their attempts, insights and missteps, and maybe find a solution that will work for you. The Word Of The King Evangelist Timothy Gruver WELCOME TO "The Word Of The King" Ecclesiastes 8:4 "Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?" KJV AV1611 St. Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised," KJV AV1611Here at "The Word Of The King", I (evangelist Timothy Gruver- pray for me please!) am all about exalting the Lord Jesus Christ and his gospel through the power and authority of God's two-edged sword as I have it in the King James Authorized Version. The KJV is the only Bible in the English language today that has the authorization of a king connected to it- King James of England.Read Ecclesiastes 8:4 and you will know and understand why the living God would have us here at "The Word Of The King" as well as "HOLYness BIBLEs for the blind", but most importantl RedemptionJHB RedemptionJHB Redemption Church is a place where you will be established in the Gospel of Grace.
