Hawkman #1 with Tim Board

On this episode Matt and special guest co-host Tim Board (webmaster of hawkworld.org) walk the mean streets of Chicago's Netherworld neighborhood while discussing 1993's HAWKMAN #1. Tim has been a fan of Hawkman ever since 1977 when he saw a drawing by the great Neal Adams and has devoted countless hours celebrating all things Thanagarian -- so of course Matt invited him on the show to talk about the new (?), mysterious (?), edgy (?) Hawkman that debuted (?) in 1993 in the comic with the shiny gold cover. Importantly, Tim sets the record straight on whether or not Hawkman is a fascist (spoiler alert: the answer is NO!). Less importantly, Matt speaks favorably of the Chase Lawler Manhunter and clearly loves Deadline a little too much.
