Ray and Rob are currently on a bit of a cold streak here on HELLO MOVIES, MY OLD FRIEND, so they're hoping to break the trend by revisiting a long-lost classic from their collective childhoods, the 1987 heist comedy BURGLAR! This Whoopi Goldberg (THE COLOR PURPLE, GHOST) led comedy centers on Bernie Rhodenbarr, an ex-con burglar who is being blackmailed by dirty cop Ray Kirschman to continue her life of crime to his benefit. When her latest heist turns sideways and her mark ends up dead, she finds herself in the crosshairs of the police and at the center of a conspiracy that could lead Bernie to a grave of her own. With supporting performances by Bobcat Goldthwait (POLICE ACADEMY, WORLD'S GREATEST DAD), John Goodman (BARTON FINK, RAISING ARIZONA) and Lesley Ann Warren (CLUE, LIFE STINKS), BURGLAR finds Whoopi on the upswing of her career that would solidify her as one of the comedy's greats!  Will BURGLAR live up to nostalgia of Ray and Rob's mind?
