Este breve volumen es la presentación de la historia de las hermanas Drake, pero al mismo tiempo narra la historia de Sarah, la hermana mayor. Sarah es la mayor de siete hermanas. Viven en un antiguo caserón en un acantilado de Sea Haven, que las protege del mundo exterior. Una antigua profecía predice que cuando llegue el momento adecuado, la verja se abrirá para dejar entrar al amor de la hermana mayor.
