How to Make Self-Doubt an Ally

from Positively Real Podcast · host Brittny King

Is it just me or with all the current unknowns in our lives does it feel like we’re more doubtful than ever and questioning everything? Today I want to discuss how and why doubt is necessary and can be a good thing. Oftentimes we believe self-doubt is an indicator that you’re not supposed to be doing what you want to do but I want to challenge that notion. Doubt is necessary because chances are you haven’t experienced any meaningful growth without experiencing self-doubt. The problem with self-doubt is that it undermines your goals, dreams and aspirations but we can actually use self-doubt as a form of fuel for those same exact goals, dreams and aspirations. In this episode I discuss: Breaking through our inner battlesSelf-doubt as an indicator of aspirationSelf-doubt as a reflection of love and desireTangible steps you can use to cultivate a belief that self-doubt is an allyWhere self-doubt comes fromAccountabilityAnd so much more!Next time you are experiencing self-doubt I want you to give yourself some space and tell yourself that this is a sign you’re on the right path. This is exactly where you’re meant to be. Resources - The War of Art by Steven Pressfield
