Relationships are based upon a value proposition. In the ideal situations, both parties find some level of value in the other person which leads to the continuation of the relationship. I know this seems a little sterile, but bear with me!

Speaking of employment relationships, I see and hear a lot of complaining from BOTH sides of the arrangement around the inter webs and in person (often at retail locations). Employees complaining about pay, perks, and environments and Employers complaining about work ethic, attitudes, and expectations. BOTH sides are giving away their power over the situation.

Both sides are ignoring the fact that THEY have the power to make themselves MORE valuable by focusing on their own … ‘stuff’. I get into it in this episode.

May we keep working to make ourselves more valuable … and in-turn, find more fulfillment and purpose in our work.

Pursue Clarity,

Paul
