Sunny Anderson hosts Food Network’s “Cooked and Booked,” the podcast where food and true crime get blitzed, blended and baked into one deliciously dangerous dish.  A true crime aficionado, Sunny takes guests on a wild ride through the world of sweet and salty scams, hot heists and culinary capers. There’s everything from a fine wine fraud to a gritty New York City ice cream truck turf war. Plus there’s a soggy bread scam, a cheese-flavored pyramid scheme, a sticky situation with stolen syrup and a poisoned candy scandal that put an entire nation in peril. Produced by Paradiso Media.  Hosted on Acast. Podcasts – Deep Fried Sushi The Raw and Cooked... Cottage Pie Angel Chiu Cottage Pie Also known as Shepherd's Pie, cottage pie is a meat pie with potato topping instead of a crust. Usually, beef or lamb is used in a cottage pie, along with tomato paste, peas and carrots. It is said that "cottage" refers to cattle, thus beef is involved. Shepherd, on the other hand, refers to sheep. That's why lamb is the other ingredient in this recipe. Cottage pie is also a good way to deal with leftovers: just combine cooked meat and veggies, then top with mash potato! After a long time in the oven, flavors come together and a masterpiece is thus produced. Niagara Falls Daredevil Museum Theodore Carter In the 19th Century, Niagara Falls became not just a beautiful landmark, but an obstacle crossed, dived into, or ridden down. Sam Patch, the first American daredevil, took his pet bear drinking with him and wowed audiences with his unaided jumps into the river. Charles Blondin cooked an omelet on a tightrope out over the roiling water. Annie Taylor, desperate for money, became the first to go over the falls in a barrel. This well-researched podcast tells the stories of these and other extraordinary daredevils. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
