My name is opeyemi Afolabi and I am the host for the heart and mind podcast.

I am a mental health educator, a health advocate and a lay counselor.

The heart and mind podcast is a podcast centered around the mental and psychological aspects of health which main purpose is to create an environment whereby a heart and mind conversation around mental health is welcome without the fear of stigmatization.

WHY HEART AND MIND PODCAST?

1. To create a safe space for mental health conversation

2. To break the stigma surrounding mental health

3. To make people develop the confidence to talk about their mental health without the fear of being tagged as mad or psycho.

Child’s Heart and Mind Michael The heart and the mind work to balance our actions. However, they can not do it alone. Support and guidance is necessary. This describes the most important function of an early childhood educator. With each experience comes an opportunity strengthen a child's heart and develop their mind. Only with our guidance and support can children hope to reach their full potential. It is my hope that with resources such as this podcast, I can help other early childhood educators with that goal.
