It's Time to Unlearn the Act of Underestimation

from The She-Compass Show · host Helen and Jo Owens

"You can inadvertently pass up on a host of opportunities simply by underestimating people and the connections to which they can expose you." Expecting others to fall short of our expectations is a common mistake we all make. How many times have we assumed that because someone earns less money, has less education, or even speaks differently than we do, she isn't a fit for our lives? And of course, by the time we realize she's a perfect friend or mentor, the opportunity to grow from this relationship has long passed us by. We'll talk about the impact presumptions can have on our journey toward self-discovery and explore what really happens to our sense of self when preconceived notions create missed opportunities.
