Jobs bloodshed.... and a wild ride ahead

By the time you listen to this podcast, it's highly likely that submissions will have closed for submissions on Australia’s International Education and Skills Strategic Framework. This micro consultation comes against a backdrop of legislation that has already been drafted... call us cynical, but it feels just a touch tokenistic.  And perhaps the worrying thing is that the canary is already in deep trouble in the coalmine: IDP has announced significant job losses, and as The Koala News broke, it's not a small trim, ~6% of global jobs are to go.  With stories already filtering out about institutions cutting hundreds staff, and changes being dropped on the industry with minimal notice, it feels like we're at the top of a big old rollercoaster.... and a wild ride is to come.  In this episode we're joined again by Claire Field of Claire Field and Associates for a deep dive into all the news.  Read Claire's LinkedIn post, discussed in this episode, here.
