JOYFUL IN HOPE

Devotional Message: Scripture: "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." – Romans 12:12 Hope is the anchor that keeps us steady when life feels uncertain. In Romans 12:12, Paul encourages believers to be joyful in hope—to hold onto joy not because of perfect circumstances, but because of a perfect Savior. Joyful hope is rooted in the promises of God, not the unpredictability of life. When we are joyful in hope, we look beyond what we see and believe in what God has said. It means trusting that He is working all things for our good, even when the present feels painful. Hope doesn’t eliminate hardship, but it gives us strength to endure it with a smile rooted in God’s faithfulness. This joy in hope is closely linked to patience in affliction and faithfulness in prayer. When trials come, we patiently wait on God, and through persistent prayer, we stay connected to the One who gives us hope. It’s in this rhythm that our hearts remain encouraged and our faith grows deeper. Today, ask yourself: Am I choosing joy in the midst of waiting? Where do I need to renew my hope in God’s promises? Prayer: AlmightyFather, fill my heart with joy that comes from knowing You and trusting Your promises. Help me to be patient in hard times and faithful in prayer.
