Bio: Karl Heilbron is a seasoned live sound engineer hailing from South Carolina, boasting a rich tapestry of experiences in the realm of audio production. Commencing his illustrious career at Southern Tracks Atlanta under the guidance of renowned producer Brendan O’Brien, Karl's portfolio includes seminal works such as Kings X’s "Dogman" album and Pearl Jam’s "VS" album. Notably, he contributed to Soundgarden's Grammy-winning opus, "Superunknown," and Aerosmith's contribution to the "Wayne’s World 2" soundtrack. Elevating his craft, Karl assumed the role of Chief Engineer at The Sweat Shop and served as FOH engineer for numerous acclaimed albums and tours, collaborating with luminaries like Keith Sweat, 2Pac, and Silk. His trajectory soared with engagements alongside chart-toppers NSync, Britney Spears, and Brandy, culminating in pivotal collaborations with Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and TLC. Transitioning seamlessly into the realm of hip-hop, Karl lent his expertise to Jeezy as his trusted personal engineer and touring recordist. Embracing the dynamism of live performances, he has commanded the FOH/TM roles for esteemed acts such as Pain of Salvation, Klone, and Adam Doleac, leaving an indelible mark on stages nationwide. Venturing into diverse territories, Karl's versatility shines as he orchestrates soundscapes for theatrical productions including "Nutcracker! The Magical Christmas Ballet," "New Jack City," and the riveting "Superfreak: The Rick James Story" currently on a four-month tour.
