Katie Rampen: What You (Don't) Know | The Healing Grove Podcast

from The Healing Grove Podcast · host Kristin Reihman, MD

This week I would like you to meet my friend, Katie Rampen.Katie is a a two-time breast cancer survivor and Breast Cancer Recovery Advocate dedicated to creating a thriving world through healthier living, one person at a time. Katie is also a mother of two children, and when Katie was first diagnosed with breast cancer, she knew it was time to spring into action to reclaim her health and her life…not only for herself, but for her kids and family. She embarked on a quest to learn more deeply about cancer in particular, and health in general. On that quest she uncovered many eye-opening, little-known facts that made her realize that we can actually prevent cancer if we embrace that what we don’t know can hurt us.Did you catch that? What we don't know CAN hurt us.In an age of information overload and confusing messages, Katie is committed to offering women expertly curated information and practical strategies that can transform their worry and overwhelm into self-empowerment and solutions. She founded Kicking Breast Cancer with Katie to work side by side with women to overcome this disease and prevent it from recurring in the future, and this conversation is part of that mission.Katie wants everyone to know her 7 Simple Steps to a Healthier You, which she teaches in her Breast Health Empowerment Circle online course, in her Breast Health Empowerment Membership support group and in private coaching. Please note: This interview was done in 2020.
