And since Luke followed everything carefully himself, he decided also to compile an orderly account of Jesus' life and ministry. (v. 3) 4. Luke is writing this to Theophilus. (v. 3) 5. Luke thought it important for Theophilus to know with certainty the things he had heard about Jesus. (v. 4)
