El amor por el tango empezó en las cuerdas que fueron su pasión y la guitarra se transformó en el instrumento de su vida, aunque le gustaba combinarla con violines, contrabajos y violoncelos… Como pocos guitarristas de la época, supo esquivar la influencia del gran maestro Grela creando un estilo único e inconfundible. Despertó su vocación al oír el terceto de Ignacio Corsini y a partir de una inspiración inundada de talento para la música, continuó su carrera exitosa acompañando a grandes cantantes en interminables giras por Latinoamérica. Fue director y compositor de innumerables éxitos que grabaron las mejores voces de Buenos Aires.
