Lionel Souque ist CEO von Rewe Deutschland und der gesamten Rewe Group. Nach seinem BWL-Studium an der NEOMA Business School in Frankreich und seinem Master in Technology and Management arbeitete er im Einkauf und Vertrieb bei Penny. 2001 wechselte er zu Billa nach Österreich. 2007 kam er zu Rewe International, stieg 2009 zum CEO von Rewe Deutschland auf. 2016 kündigte die Rewe Group an, Souque werde 2019 ihr neuer Vorstandsvorsitzender, doch schon im Juli 2017 löste er Alain Caparros in diesem Amt ab. Rewe ist Hauptsponsor des 1. FC Köln - Souque ist dort Aufsichtsratsvorsitzender.
