"Lord, Calm the Storm.": Praying Against Hurricane Francine (Family Rosary Across America)

from The Best of the Week · host Relevant Radio

Grab your Rosary - we need to pray!  So, on an episode of The Family Rosary Across America, Fr. Rocky got right into a super important prayer intention—asking for prayers to protect everyone from Hurricane Francine. You could really feel the urgency as he shared a weather update about the Gulf, with a specific focus on New Orleans. And, of course, we’re all praying that the storm doesn’t turn into another disaster! Who can forget about the devastation of Hurricane Katrina!   As always, Fr. Rocky opened the lines for intentions, and Marie from Louisiana, called in with a heartfelt plea 🙏. She’s right in the path of the hurricane and is asking for prayers for protection over her family and the community. She mentioned that after praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet with Drew Mariani earlier, the storm shifted—but it’s still headed their way. God can work miracles, and we need one now! Fr. Rocky, ever hopeful, urged everyone (especially the kids!) to join in this prayer, because children's prayers are incredibly powerful.   And then—total highlight moment—nine-year-old Andrew from Midland, Texas, called in. He wanted prayers for his mom, who’s been struggling to sleep. How sweet is that? 🥺 Fr. Rocky was all in, promising prayers for Andrew's mom to finally get some good rest.     The best way to listen to the Best of the Week is on our #1 Free Catholic App. It’s free, and always will be!
