Lvl 87: COVID-19 is a Message to Us from Nature to Embrace Our Laziness & Build World Peace

from The ProcrastiN8r Podcast

Tough love. It's when you care about someone so much that you're willing to let them hurt a little. And that's what Mother Nature (or God or the Universe or Zeus, whatever word you choose) is doing for us right now with this Coronavirus pandemic. We've been misbehaving, as a collective society. We've been bad little boys and girls. You see, we've gotten so wrapped up in our own Egos that we've forgotten where we belong. We've gotten so focused on what separates us (race, gender, religion, politics) that we've lost sight of what brings us together (humanity, intelligence, nature). We've gotten so attracted to materials that we've broken our attraction to genuine love (for others, for the planet). We mine nature, pollute it, litter it, all for our own daily conveniences. We are being punished for our ways. So...when all of this blows over, what will we learn from it? To live in fear? or to live in Harmony? Will we learn anything at all or just go about our business? If we choose choose to live in Harmony, there is NOTHING to fear. Conversely, if we choose to live in fear, then we will NEVER achieve Harmony. And if we choose not to learn at all, well that in itself goes against our human Nature to be rational. Harmony. Togetherness. Look around you. Read between the lines. See the diamond in the rough. Through all this chaos what do you see? You see the Harmony we are creating. People coming together to stop the spread of this outbreak, uniting as one to protect as many human beings as possible. Minus some bad apples who are hoarding TP (eyes roll) Mister Rogers said that during a crisis or times of trouble, pay attention to the HELPERS. Look at the nurses working round the clock. Look at the neighbors offering supplies. Look at the store clerks stocking the shelves. Look at the ProcrastiN8r staying at home to keep the infection from spreading. Helpers. They're everywhere. They're spreading more quickly than the virus itself. There are more people helping out there then there are hoarding shit, despite what the news tells you. Mother Nature wishes for us to see that -- to see that we have it within us to unite in Harmony and help each other. We just choose not to. We choose to focus on our own needs, our own wants, our own beliefs. We choose Ego over Universe. We choose Self over Humanity. We look to solve our own personal problems rather than the communal ones we all face, as citizens of the world. Mother Nature loves us. She wants to see us "grow up" and reach our full potential. There's only so much she can do to warn us, with "tough love", that if we don't wake up soon, we'll destroy ourselves. She'll let us destroy ourselves too, if that's what it takes Biologically speaking, an organism that destroys the body it lives in, as well as other "cells" (animals, species) is in fact a virus. Humanity is a virus, unless we come together, not only with each other, but with the nature that surrounds us. COVID-19 isn't a virus, but little "antibodies" from nature coming to destroy the sickness within it: us. After all this is over... Let's learn to live in harmony with each other. Let's learn to relax and go with the flow (of nature), instead of try to force our will against it.
