A proud Asian American, he began his career as a sound engineer, working at recording studios and entertainment agencies before starting his own firm, Hellman Production in 2003. After receiving the SCORE Award for Small Business Success for creating outstanding custom merchandise, Swire sold Hellman Production to focus exclusively on the promotional product industry.
