Marriage, Sex, & Misfits pt 2

from Victorious Life Christian Center · host Sr Pastor Nate Mullen

Relationships are the true wealth of our lives. Not possessions. Not status. Not success. When everything else fades, what remains are the people we loved—and how we loved them. From the beginning, God designed marriage as a reflection of His image. Male and female, equal in value, created to collaborate, build, and reflect His nature in the earth. Marriage was never meant to be domination or competition. It was designed as covenant partnership. In a culture where relationships often break under pressure, God calls us back to His original blueprint—maturity, responsibility, honor, and sacrificial love. A husband’s leadership is not control; it is Christlike love. A wife’s submission is not inferiority; it is voluntary partnership rooted in trust. Both are called to protect one another’s dignity. We often think love is just a feeling. But biblical love (agape) is a decision to do what is right for the other person—even when it costs us. Real love builds. Real love protects. Real love heals.Strong marriages don’t happen by accident. They are built through identity in Christ, emotional maturity, boundaries, and covenant commitment. If we want to see culture restored, it begins in our homes.
