He tells us about the early days of surfing,  how he and David Eggers were the best of friends, going to each others houses and surfing. Matt talks about how his life for over 30 years was getting good waves and  photos, "not much to complain about back then."  He tells us that nothing has changed for him even today, when he hits the water, he gets amped and is like a super grom.  Matt says his boards today are very similar to the boards he rode back in the beginning of his career. He discusses how he was a part of the the change in pro surfing, with a  "hot shot surf style" and how it was good to be apart of it.
