This week's remarkable person is Melanie Perkins, CEO of Canva. Melanie co-founded the start-up from her mother’s living room. Canva, an online design software company, is based in Australia, thousands of miles from tech’s Silicon Valley power corridor. Getting a meeting—much less funding—proved tough.
