Michigan Football Is Set To Compete At An Elite Level | Michigan Football 2024

from College Football with Sam · host Samuel Recker

The Michigan Wolverines may have lost most of their 2023 coaching staff and roster, but they are set to compete for the Big Ten and National Championships in 2024. Michigan Football has developed a culture that will take years to erode, and Sherrone Moore has done an excellent job at keeping that process from taking place by keeping several key players from entering the transfer portal. Michigan in theory has concerns at quarterback, wide receiver, offensive line, cornerback, and safety, but spring and summer practice could change their circumstances for the better. By the time the 2024 college football season rolls around, I think Michigan's offensive line room will reload and safety will feature an elite level of play barring severe injuries. Michigan Football will boast an elite defensive line with Derrick Moore, Josaiah Stewart, Mason Graham, and Kenneth Grant starting. This group had 17 sacks combined in 2023 and several more tackles for loss. With Donovan Edwards and Kalel Mullings returning I expect Michigan to feature a strong rush attack as well. If Moore and his staff can recruit key transfer players in the spring, this team can once again find itself playing for a National Championship.
