The Michigan State Spartans are coming off of a disappointing 5-7 season and are looking to improve this year. Mel Tucker has his deepest roster ever, especially at offensive line, tight end, defensive line, and linebacker. Jay Johnson's offense should have a balanced attack with runningback Nathan Carter, wide receiver Montorie Foster Jr, and tight end Maliq Carr having breakout seasons. The defense will boast one of the nation's best defensive tackle groups and a near-elite linebacker in Jacoby Windmon. Michigan State has several questions, but their roster is healthier, deeper, and more athletic compared to previous seasons.
