Michigan vs Penn State Preview + Prediction | College Football 2023

The Michigan Wolverines will take on the Penn State Nittany Lions at 12:00 PM EST in Beaver Stadium this Saturday. This is expected to be the biggest game of the week, outside of potential Georgia vs Ole Miss, and there are a lot of ramifications that will result from this game. Michigan is undefeated and ranked 3rd in the College Football Playoff Rankings, however, with their weak schedule, a loss to Penn State might put them out of the playoff conversation even with a win over Ohio State. If Jim Harbaugh and his team want to control their own destiny in the Championship conversation, a win here is necessary. Penn State has suffered one loss to Ohio State and they already need help to reach the playoffs or their conference title game. A win here helps their chances, while a loss eliminates them. Both teams are Top 5 in efficiency and football power rankings according to ESPN. My prediction is a 34-13 Michigan win. Sure that sounds lopsided, but I think the Wolverines are the better team with superior coaches and players on all sides of the ball minus special teams. Michigan Football will have 400+ yards on Saturday and I expect McCarthy and the running backs Corum and Edwards to split the 4 touchdowns I think Michigan will score. Penn State Football is a good team that will keep this game close for a half, but Michigan will eventually pull away.
