We Are: Becky Shaffer is a life and fitness coach, Educator, and Author.  Shay Hayes is an Educator and Coach with College and High School experience in which together we bring a different perspective with Real Adult Wisdom from life experiences. Here, on RAW, we will drop the fake talk and talk about honestly the hard experiences and life lessons we gained from surviving childhood abuse, abusive relationships, cancer, and much more. We will share with you the work we did to overcome and heal our personal life experiences. Episode 3 5 takes on “Moreness” ( Episode 4 will talk about the last 3 takes) Communication-this will always be at the top of my list because without communication there is no relationship. Depth in your relationship is important.  We as adults seem to use about 5 emotions:  Happy, Sad, TIred, Pissesd off or Stressed Out.  These are surface-level emotions that don’t give a lot of detail about what a person is feeling.  Digging deep into these primary emotions is important to share.    2. Not Settling- (Give and take)  Be conscious of the present, you are NOT dating to fill a space, you are dating to add to your life.  You can’t seek from a partner what you don’t give to yourself.  Choose experience, not optimism.
