His victories prompted the writer in Hebrews 11 to record his name in the Hall of Faith (Heb. 11:32). He’s probably the most popular of the Judges, yet his behavior made him the worst of all. Sam’s story begins in Judges 13, where we learn about his miraculous birth. I can’t think of one Bible hero with a more promising start than Samson. He had a divine anointing, godly parents and a special destiny as Israel’s deliverer.
