Jacob by deception obtains the birthright of his brother Esau and the blessings of his father Issac. He also deceives his father-in-law. It appears he is getting away with everything but ultimately he has a face to face encounter with God. Man who have experienced wounding in their life become manipulators or enablers or co-dependent. They need to have a face to face encounter with God to become a new person.
