Nathan, Nat & Shaun Podcast - 6th November 2018

from Nathan, Nat & Shaun · host Nova Podcasts

Melbourne Cup Day was a banger full of tips and tricks from Shaun McManus – which means no wins obviously. Bruce McAvaney called through to get us pumped up for the big event and to pass on his tips – if only he could have had Winx in there he would have been the happiest man alive. Shaun’s Mum Sue McManus once won half a million bucks on the big race – so we made sure to get her on with her tips in case we could get in on the money! Except turns out she wasn’t great at narrowing it down to one or two horses…. And a quick cross to Steve Butler who was in Melbourne where it was absolutely pouring down before the meet– we thought the race might not even go ahead! Luckily it did in the end, and Steve stayed relatively dry. Plus – if you’re not into hose racing, there’s trains! We heard stories of runaway vehicles after the train derailment in the Pilbara. But more importantly, we tried to recall train movies. Turns out there’s heaps.
