In Isaiah 43, God reminded the Israelites of the mighty things He had done—victories, deliverance, and preservation. Then He said, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:18–19). Notice the present continuous tense: I am doing a new thing. God is actively and continuously at work.
