This week I sat down and had a spontaneous and very entertaining conversation with Chad Kuhn who is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and head instructor at East Coast Martial Arts in Canton, Ohio which is an affiliate of 4th degree black belt, James Clingerman. Chad co-hosts the “Limitless Radiocast” Jiu-Jitsu Podcast with his student, Terry Seaton. We discussed Chad’s beginnings in martial arts, martial arts in the 80’s, training in the gi vs no gi, the hardest colored belt for Chad to get through, competition, Chad’s basic but unique approach to strength training for BJJ, combat Jiu-Jitsu, which Jiu-Jitsu personalities influenced Chad’s Jiu-Jitsu game as he climbed the ranks, tattoos and addictive personalities, and eating a vegan diet.
