It was a Sunday at about 5:22 PM when I discovered that Nipsey had been pronounced dead after having been shot 6 times in front of his 'Marathon' clothing store. Nipsey was a true pillar of his community. He invested in real estate and helped to revitalize businesses, he donated money to help renovate elementary schools, he started a successful STEM program for kids in LA. Nipsey was hyperactive in the neighborhood that he grew up in and used music as a vehicle to finance his dreams. This a truly tragic loss to the hip hop/black community. Nipsey called himself the Tupac of his generation and he very well may be... His life was cut short at 33 years. Rest in POWER Nipsey Hussle...
