Not Unto Us, O Lord

Why do we pray for America? Is it because we want America to be great again or because like Moses we care about God’s reputation? America has been known as a Christian nation and has been blessed by God. If He removes His mercy and blessing what will the heathen say? When God was ready to destroy Israel, Moses feared that God's reputation would be ruined—that He would be seen as unable to fulfill His promise to bring them into the land. Are you willing to stand in the gap for America, for the sake of God's name? May our hearts be like the heart of Moses, who cared more for God's honor than his own. "Not unto us, O Lord, but for Your name’s sake."
