Nurturing Simplicity: Alana's Sister Science Story

from Sister Science Stories · host Jill Novak

Today’s episode dives into the transformative practice of Clinical Somatic Education with Alana Burton—a Clinical Somatic Educator whose own healing journey has blossomed into a beautiful offering for others. Alana discovered Clinical Somatic Education, as final step in her healing journey where pain led her to Yoga Therapy and into Somatics. From the age of 16 - 40 pain, tension, and overwhelm were her constant companions. A break through moment with a small simple yoga therapy practice one Christmas Eve when she found herself unable to walk, dress, get herself to bed. Through Clinical Somatic Education Alana learned to reconnect with her body, release unconscious tension, and move with greater ease, freedom, and joy. Alana is part of the Year of YOU program and beyond in to the Year of EXPANSION inquiry groups. She is finding her Dharma, and deeper insights and healing. Now, her passion has grown into a powerful class she’ll be offering in the Sister Science Community this month—a space designed to help participants unlock their potential and foster a deeper mind-body connection. In this episode, we explore: Alana’s personal healing journey and the moments that transformed her life. The inspiration behind her upcoming class and how it empowers others.
