Ocasio-Cortez and Democratic Socialism

The win by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in NY's 14th district Democratic primaries and her probable entrance into Congress stresses the need for Americans to understand what is modern Democratic Socialism and abandon the reflex of equating it with communism, the USSR, Cuba or Venezuela.
