How does an Australian singer from country Queensland become a global diva? In the 90s, I remember standing off camera and watching a young girl perform on Brisbane morning television. She was in the studio to help publicise a musical I was directing as she was the leading lady. Her name is Helen Walsh. Since then Helen has sung on stages in London’s West End and around the globe. Performing in Cats, Mamma Mia, Les Misérables (7 times) and Wicked. She is currently touring Australia in Mary Poppins playing the role of Mrs Brill.
