Opening remarks at the 2016 Stockholm Forum on Security and Development. Over 300 policymakers, researchers and practitioners gather in Stockholm for the third annual Stockholm Forum on Security and Development. Co-hosted by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the 2016 Forum is held in conjunction with a global meeting of the International Dialogue on Peacebuilding and Statebuilding. This year’s theme, Leave no one behind: building resilience by 2030, considers how to deliver the new sustainable development agenda in fragile contexts over the next fifteen years.
