However, the path she embarked on was not exactly what she expected. Surrounded by all the glamour and bright lights and living a dream life, she still fell victim to many challenges women face. She found herself stuck in an identity crisis. How could that be, after all, was a beauty pageant winner? Wasn’t she pretty enough? Did she really have what it took to succeed? What was her true purpose in life? Could she ever really be loved for who she was?In this episode, former Miss Dominion of Canada, international speaker, award-winning author, and youth mentor Norma Joyce Dougherty, joins us to talk about her journey from poverty to pageantry and what beauty really is.
