Yeudah approaches Yosef to plead for the release of Benyamin, offering himself as a slave to the Egyptian ruler in Benyamin’s stead. Upon witnessing his brothers’ loyalty to one another, Yosef reveals his identity to them. “I am Yosef he declares. “Is my father still alive? We read about Yeudah complete repentance, therefore meriting the kingship of the Jewish people to be in his bloodline forever. We learn what it takes to lead a fulfilled and satisfactory life.
