This episode explores neoplasia as a disease of altered rules rather than uncontrolled chaos. Cancer does not arise because cells forget how to function, but because they acquire new priorities. Survival, replication, and persistence replace cooperation. Neoplasia is therefore not a single event, but an evolutionary process unfolding within tissues over time.The episode begins by defining neoplasia as clonal, autonomous growth that persists after removal of the initiating stimulus.
