PATIENCE IN TRIALS!

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: Romans 5:3-4 "Not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope." Trials are never comfortable, yet they are essential tools in God’s hands to shape us into Christlike vessels. The apostle Paul reminds us that our tribulations are not meaningless; they are productive. Through difficulty, we learn perseverance—the ability to keep going when we feel like giving up. Perseverance, in turn, shapes our character. It strips away superficiality and deepens our trust in God. As character is refined, it births hope—a confident expectation in God's faithfulness, not just for this life, but for eternity. This hope is not wishful thinking; it is rooted in the unchanging promises of God. It’s in our hardest moments that God does His deepest work. He is more interested in who we are becoming than in the comfort of our circumstances. The trial you are facing today may be preparing you for a greater purpose tomorrow. Today, ask yourself: Am I allowing God to produce perseverance, character, and hope through this trial? Prayer: AlmightyFather, help me to be patient in trials. Teach me to trust You even when I don’t understand. Strengthen my heart to endure, let my character reflect Christ, and fill me with unshakable hope in Your promises. In Jesus' name, Amen.
