The Journey of Motherhood Podcast The Journey of Motherhood Podcast I never know which part to start with….the personal or professional. But I guess when I think about what is most important to me….. above all else….it’s being a mother. I have 4 children between the ages of 8 and 15 years. I call them “the loves of my life” because truly that is how it is. But just as much as they can fill me with so much joy that I burst, they can also bring me to my knees. There is heaps I love about motherhood, some parts I’m indifferent to and a few bits that I don’t like. I wouldn’t trade it for the world and I wouldn’t be the woman I am today, without the experiences that motherhood has brought me.On top of all that I’m a Clinical (and Forensic) Psychologist. I’ll save the conversation about “what is a forensic psychologist” for another time. What I really want you to know is that one of the areas that I love love love working in the most, is with mums and their bubs, toddlers, pre-schoolers, primary and high school aged kids. The lot! There are so many reasons An Editor's Tales Anthony Trollope These 'tales' describe a series of encounters between various magazine editors and those who wish to have their works published. While containing some amusing bits, the tales are relatively grim, compared to most Trollope stories. The Turkish Bath: This editor, visiting a Turkish bath, is accosted by an Irish stranger, who, after some conversation, requests to submit a manuscript to the magazine. The editor's reactions to the solicitation and subsequent familiarity with the writer's circumstances forms the frame of the story. Humor arises about the Turkish bathing situation, and the reluctance of editors to make themselves available to amateur writers.Mary Gresley is the rather sad tale of a young girl's giving up her writing career to satisfy the deathbed wish of the curate she was engaged to. The editor, in this tale (and also in the next), became rather involved emotionally with the girl and wished her to continue writing.Josephine de Montmorenci Best of SportsTalk Life Podcasts The best bits from the world of sport with comment and conversation that is on point and off the cuff, presented by Buhle Madulini.
