PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT!

from The Kingdom Of God First Podcast. · host Tewe Kolade Felix

Scripture: "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people." — Ephesians 6:18 (NIV) Message: In Ephesians 6:18, Paul encourages believers to pray in the Spirit, highlighting the importance of prayer that is empowered by the Holy Spirit. Praying in the Spirit goes beyond our understanding, allowing the Holy Spirit to intercede on our behalf with groans and words that we cannot express. It is a powerful way to align our hearts with God’s will and tap into His divine strength. When we pray in the Spirit, we are not limited by our own words or circumstances. The Holy Spirit guides us in prayer, giving us the wisdom, clarity, and direction we need. It is in the Spirit that we are most connected to God’s heart, praying not only for ourselves but also for others. Prayer becomes a tool of both personal transformation and intercession for the world around us. Praying in the Spirit requires a yielded heart, one that is open and responsive to God’s promptings. It’s about surrendering our will to His, trusting that the Spirit will guide us in praying according to His perfect plan. This deepens our connection with God and strengthens our spiritual life, making prayer more than just a duty but a deep, intimate conversation with our Creator. Today, ask yourself: Am I praying in the Spirit, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide my prayers and align them with God’s will? How can I be more sensitive to His promptings in my prayer life? Prayer: Almighty Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit who helps me in my weakness and guides me in prayer. Help me to pray in the Spirit, surrendering my heart and mind to Your will. Teach me to be alert and persistent in prayer, not only for myself but for all Your people. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
